We have a human body, consisting of earth, fire, water, air and ether.
Just like the animals.
We do the same things as the animals.
We have sex, we defend ourselves, we eat and we sleep.
So what makes us different from the monkeys?
We have the intelligence to study, we have the intelligence to use philosophy and ask ourselves questions. Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going?
So we should not speculate to find these answers, but we should go to the source of knowledge.
He is the source.
So we study the Vedas.
The Vedas has been given by God to us, so that we can study them and get answers to our questions.
The scientists think they know everything...Ha!
Compared to the knowledge found in the Vedas, they know nothing, maybe not even 1%, and they claim to have so many answers. What they do is only speculation. They have no origin of their source of knowledge, they just make things up.
Just like Darwins theory. Exactly. It's just a theory, he even said so himself.
Think that they still teach darwinism at schools to children, it is a shame and an embarrassment.
Why don't we teach children real values?
Why don't we teach them to NOT live as monkeys?
The society is only teaching them how to stay animalistic, be more attached to the body and the material world. So sad.
The Vedas describe, if you were a tiger in your last life you will be born as a human in the mode of passion (raja guna) and if you were a monkey you will be born as human in the mode of ignorance (tama guna). But if you were a cow, you will be born in the mode of goodness (sattva guna).
It's quite clear in todays society that many of us were monkeys in previous life, but after people take up Krishna consciousness, they transform more and more into sattva guna, they become more pious, more humble, and they start using their intelligence.
They start studying Srimad Bhagavatam and they start taking advantage of their birth as humans. They find out that the real meaning in life is to serve God.
Scenario: A richmans son is driving around in his new ferrari, but he is not taking well care of it, he uses it roughly, crashes it, and never use it for its purpose. So when it is smashed and he goes to his father to ask for a new car, the father buys him a used car, less likely to be misused.
It's the same with Krishna. If we are not taking advantage of this human body now, and rise above animalistic behaviors, then why should Krishna give us a human body in the next life, then we can just as well be a monkey.
|Do you want to stay like a monkey |
or do you wish to take advantage of your human body?
So the best thing to do in this life is to study the Vedas. Start with the ABC of spiritual life, read the Bhagavad Gita, then go on with the Srimad Bhagavatam, and take full advantage of the human body you have been gifted. And please remember to teach your children to be humans, not monkeys.
